I'm kind of breaking away from the normal use of this blog and decided to set up a recipe blog so anyone can see what exactly this crazy family eats every day. We are very consistent and dedicated to good health. We have a unique way of eating that has brought us health and happiness.

Breakfast: Oatmeal (agave, cinammon on top)

sides: homemade whole wheat bread w/ all fruit jam (I buy smuckers all fruit jam at Wal-mart for the best price I've found for sugar-free jam)

Ask me sometime to tell you about the failed jam experiments I've done. One batch in particular still sits on my shelf and bears the title "Texas Barbeque Jam"

Lunch: Baked Chicken ( I marinated the chicken legs last night w/ braggs, coriander and sage. I'll probably add some more braggs and then bake them for an hour. I've started always covering the chicken I bake so it's more tender and doesn't dry out)

sides:  barley ( I added this to the chicken to let it soak up all the juices..yum) cucumbers , watermelon, fresh garden peas (I leave these out of the salad because Sasha doesn't like them in)

Dinner : TBA

I always buy a sugar free jam that I use for lunch. I made my own lunch recipe that's weird that I eat quite frequently.

I mix a little bit of honey with the sugar free jam, then I add uncooked oatmeal. I put this in the microwave for 30 seconds, and of course mix it up afterwards. Then I spread this on a whole wheat bagel. I will also eat fat free yogurt with this too, and if I'm still hungry I'll eat an apple or orange.

Do you think this is a healthy enough lunch or enough lunch with the training I've been doing?

Also whats better for you honey or agave?

That sounds similar to what Sasha eats often...in ingredients that is. I think it sounds yummy.

I drink when I'm thirsty and eat until I'm not hungry anymore. If you aren't hungry after that sounds good to me. I would probably always add some fresh fruit or veggies to the meal but that's one thing I'm kind of particular about with my kids.

I'm not certain which is better for you as far as honey or agave goes. It's debatable. I'm perfectly fine with either. I think it's more personal preference. I think however agave may be better for someone looking for a low glycemic sweetner.

The chicken recipe sounds good and must have a great flavor marinated the night before. I'm going to have to try that one. I love chicken in just about any recipe.

Tell Sasha he needs to eat those fresh garden peas.
